On International Women's Day, Friday 13 March at 8.45 pm, the Civic Library will host the reading 'Violeta. El cantar tiene sentido' in the Gelli Room, dedicated to adults and young adults. The event pays tribute to Violeta Parra, a Chilean singer-songwriter who, between the 1950s and 1960s, promoted her country's folklore by transforming song into the voice of the people. Performer Roberta Ruggiero will be alone on stage. Violeta Parra's original songs will be interspersed with narrative and dialogue moments featuring texts by Marco Sorzio.

Biblio Pizza in Jesolo invites secondary school pupils to take part in a series of events dedicated to reading aloud and pizza. The first event, entitled “Giro libri, giro pizza” (Book round, pizza round), will be held on 14 March 2026 from 7pm to 9pm with Carlo Corsini. During the meeting, participants will be able to listen to delicious readings, with stories about choices, changes, courage and growth, and at the end there will be pizza for everyone. Registration will open on 2 March. The second event, “Sam de Bergerac”, will take place on 16 May 2026 from 7pm to 9pm with Carlo Corsini and Simone Marchetti. Sarah Turoche-Dromery's work will be read aloud, a story about the power of words and the discovery of first loves, with pizza for everyone at the end. Registration will open on 4 May.
